| A box landed here today. I think it's the East box. But I would have to check. Normally I would jump right in. But it may have to wait a day or two. _________________

| JohnR has the "West" Coast box in Knoxville TN. I will see what is going on with it, but I remember he went on a camping trip with his wife. Hope the bears didn't eat him . _________________ Arizona, where the temperature is always warm but the pipe smoking is always cool. Mikem

I hope they didn't eat the box! Especially since I am next on the list.

| I managed to carry the East box down to the cellar and open it. My sense of smell is so poor I could not tell what anything was and I really look forward to opening a boxpass for the smell.
There are several things I want to try. May load a few bowls sometime this week and wait until I can breath again to smoke them. Walking back upstairs about wiped me out. _________________

| The West box must have made it through the camping trip fine as she arrived on my doorstep today. Lots of stuff in here I have been wanting to try. _________________ Trooper Island |

| Ok, I'm still wading through the box deciding what to sample first.
Decided to try some Embarcadero. I have a couple of tins of this in the cellar but couldn't convince myself to open a tin when I bought it. This will be one I will have to purchase more of in the future.
Next was some PA (I'm always reminded of the crank call when this is mentioned). Kind of one dimensional. Burned hot, not tongue bite hot, just hot. I might have been puffing too hard trying to coax more flavor from it.
Well off to bed, more sampling to come tomorrow. _________________ Trooper Island |

| Fellows, I am going to get the box off on Tuesday. Yeah, I know, a couple days late. I want to replace it. Still haven't sampled a thing. But I am feeling better every day. I want to get out in the sun today and maybe that will help some. _________________

| Just bag up some samples of what you wanted to try Carlos, smoke em when you feel better.
The box is probably way ahead of schedule anyhow, I wouldn't worry about being a couple days late. _________________ These are horrible times and all sorts of horrible people are prospering, but we must never let this disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to annoy and hinder them at every turn.
