| While I sit at home recouperating from having a deviated septum straightened (not fun, by the way), obviously unable to smoke, I can at least look at another Chedda that is being held for me. I saw it last week as it was being finished and I plan on picking it up next weekend but will have to wait another week to smoke it.

| Nice one, that tall bowl should keep you in the zone a lonng time.I've got a deviated septum also, sense of smell and taste diminished some.I'll get it fixed eventually, had enough health issues this year already.

| Actually, the surgery was not too bad; only the first 24 hours had me wondering why I had agreed to it. The hardest part now is sitting around with some time on my hands and not being able to smoke a fine briar.
I do plan to go pick up the Chedda this coming weekend--at least I can handle it even if I can't smoke it yet.
I really do like the pipes Prem is making. I've been studying various carvers seriously to see what I want to buy but I've been very satified with the contruction of Prem's pipes (and his pricing is good, too). I'll add other carvers as I plung into this hobby with all four feet but I do like the ritual of going to Prem's shop weekly and surveying the latest production. He's also custom-making a bent acorn for me based upon an estate Charatan I also found at the shop (I'm buying the Charatan, too, for comparison purposes). The acorn may be done soon and I'll post it when it is. |
