Hi, All. Decided to actually focus my collection a bit. Picked a shape that I absolutely hated when I first started pipe smoking - The Dublin. Somehow, I love it now. Sooooo...

I've been selling, trading and buying a bit. Mostly lower end stuff. I picked up a Kaywoodie Drinkless, Greenwhich, Algerian briar, and a Faders London made. On the other end of the spectrum I just got a Charatan Executive and a David Jones that I traded for and an S&R on the way from another trade. I got my eyes on a couple of Pete's but I'm really hoping to get a square shanked Ashton with a saddle bit. Something in an XX-XXX size. Other square or diamond shanks, too.

I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Well, continuing the Dublinizing process. The S&R arrived yesterday and man is it a fantastic pipe. Also waiting to 2 unsmoked Peterson 120s: a Donegal Rocky and an Army, both with sterling bands, a pre-Republic Pete oval shank Dublin, a new Brebbia MPB Sabbiata handmade, an estate Dunhill Red Bark group 5, and an estate Wiley Galleon 33. Will hopefully have them in hand to post pics by the end of the week.

I've smoked the Kaywoodie, Algerian, Greenwich, David Jones and S&R. The Jones and S&R are both largish pipes. They feel great in the hand and have beautiful graining. They smoke wonderfully but I'll have to either smoke mixtures that burn quicker or save them for the Summer when I have a little more time. Two hours easy with a flake.

The Algerian and Greenwich are both great smokes. I smoked Gawith Black XX and G&H CCP in them The Kaywoodie was my least favorite but it was also unsmoked and so has not been broken in. The Brebbia should arrive today. Maybe I'll give that one a shot. We are unfortunately in the grips of a mini heat wave. It's supposed to break tonight. We'll see what we see.
