This guy is amazing! I bought a low end "chubby" from him today. I plan on buying a high end pipe from him within the next couple of months.

That really is very nice. And you say it's a low-end pipe!

It looks like one of his Latitude 41 pipes.

They are fraised stummels that he puts a pre-formed stem and a finish on.

Rad - What are fraised Stummels?

This is from Jan's site: The "Latitude 41" smoking pipes are factory made pipes which I import and finish in my workshop. All pipes are checked for faults which would degrade your smoking experience, the smoke canal and stem are opened to 4mm for easier draw, end of the mouthpiece is filled thinner for comfortable grip, and bowls receive a coating of Carnauba wax on top of black water based stain. I coat the tobacco chamber with my special Charcoal/Pumice mixture which has an excellent cake building characteristic, is porous and neutral in taste. This together with varnish free outside guarantees that, the pipe will breath properly, and will dry out during its rest periods between smokes. Some pipes have no fills whatsoever, but some have small fills in places but they don’t degrade the smokeability of the pipes.

Hi Jeff,

I don't know if I spelled it right. It means they are cut on a fraising(sp?) machine.

A pattern is made, and the machine has cutters and can turn out multiples of the shape at one time.
