| The UPS man brought me presents today!
A new pipe: a Johs apple, slightly bent with a nifty diamond shank. (Johs is a startup by one of the late Bjarne's carvers.) I think it's going to be for aromatics... just a hunch.
And some tins: Solani Silver Flake Solani Aged Burley Flake Sam. Gawith Golden Glow McClelland Navy Cavendish |

| I got two shipments of tobacco in last week and the wife said "Don't you think you have enough now?". Enough?I know that there is some and that there is more and there is none, but "Enough" I can't understand that word,it has no meaning for a collector.

| I had a version of that same conversation this morning.
"You have like a hundred pounds of tobacco!" "It doesn't go bad, you know!"
Not that I really have 100 lbs. (A boy can dream!) It's my own fault for buying the Silver Flake--it comes in that giant silver "storybook" tin--can't just casually sneak it onto the shelf. |

| | I picked up my two eBay Mastro's from the local Post Office this afternoon. Oh boy. Beautiful. Bigger than I thought, lots of wood. Better than I imagined. Had a break-in bowlful in each. The Bayou Morning went better than the Old Gowrie. Maybe ribbon is better break-in backy than flake. Burns easier. Anyway, life is good in Muddlerville. |

| Today is our 15th wedding anniversary. My wife bought me a new pipe to help me with my PAD symptoms. She bought me a black & tan POY 2008 from MarkTinksy. I can't wait to smoke it.

Well put, Winslow. I'll have to relay that to my wife, but I'm still not sure she'll understand |
