| Today's pad consisted of roughly 5-6 oz's of 1998-99 Percy Martin Farm's perique (the real stuff from St.James Parish,LA). I bought a number of Danish flakes yeserday and will likely need this stuff to give it a bit of flavor!

When used in small doses it actually makes some Danish flakes "sing".......I look forward to adding it to some PSLNF as well as Bull'e eye Flake....

| | As it happens, I now live about fifteen miles from Percy Martin’s farm. Since I only recently began smoking pipes, I never thought much about it, although I was aware of it and knew it came from Louisiana. I haven’t found any recent articles regarding the stability of the supply. I read one from a few years ago, where Percy Martin, who was then 84, said that his family wasn’t much interested in continuing to produce Perique. |
