Out of curiosity I read the "What Does Your Wife Want From You" article...and was surprised that it's mostly right! Except the part labeled "value."

Quote :
Value. Your wife wants to know that you're the kind of guy that most women want. That makes her feel fortunate that she has you and that she is going home with you tonight. This is why when you go into a place with your wife, you get more looks from other women than when you're alone. This makes your wife's ego go through the roof.

I don't want the kind of guy most women want. I want the kind of guy *I* want. Which is not the kind of guy most women want. I also don't need other people to value my relationship in order to appease my ego. But, maybe that's just me Laughing

I don't think it's cheating, mostly because I really only read men's publications. Women stuff bores me. I'm not really interested in celebrity gossip or fashion news or makeup tips. I like GQ and Esquire =) It's a tough world for a woman who can't stand other women. Mad

I also order tobacco from "Just for Him." But don't tell them that.

Bud, Williamson, puros_bran, & whiskeywillow;

All ... we really appreciate you talking about ManoftheHouse.com. I am the Managing Editor of the site and try to find out what people think about the site, and love what we've read here on Brothers of Briar.

WhiskeyWillow ... we have found that a large part of our audience is in fact women. I hope you have found that we try to offer up similar content to Esquire and GQ, but from the perspective of a man in a different station in life. And the "What Your Wife Wants From You" is just one of the many articles/perspectives we have on the site.

Williamson ... The Art of Manliness team do an incredible job as well. We are hoping to do some work together with them soon.

Also ... if there is any topic you think we are missing or something you would like to read, please feel free to share that with us. I can be reached at jeff@manofthehouse.com. Thanks again for sharing Man of the House with the Brothers of Briar community.

This site was created by a fellow who went to law school at Tulsa (where I am), graduated the year before I matriculated. I actually had the pleasure of meeting Brett last term. A nice guy, very well spoken and calm. Slightly funny, tho unintentionally (I think).

They also seems to think highly of the pipemen on AoM: Pipe Smoking Primer

A good site recommendation.
