A wife asks her husband, "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk,

and if they have eggs, get 6."

A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.

The wife asks him, "Why did you buy 6 cartons of milk?"

He replied, "They had eggs."

When I was married I often thought that my X and I lived in parallel universes. She talked and I'd think I understood; I talked with the same results. The differences in the female and the male brains, are, I think, at fault. I suppose the remedy is that when she talks, the husband translates, and vice versa.

Exactly! Reflective listening is key to good communication. I say like I'm an expert. Razz
