Hey MisterE,

I've been meaning to ask. Were you affected by that huge earthquake? I hope all is well.

Hey, thanks for thinking of me! It was a big one but no major damage luckily.

I was in the shower with shampoo in my hair when it hit. It took me a moment to realize what was happening and when I figured it out the entire place was literally twisting. I had to jump out, get dressed, and run into the street completely wet! It only lasted a minute or so but that was enough! Shocked

The only lasting effect was that the power was out for a few hours. Not bad considering it was almost as powerful as the big one in 85. A 7.8 or so. affraid

I was in my office the quake hit Philly last year. The building rumbled a little and the entire city shut down with panic. I don't think that one even registered 1.0. I can't imaging 7+. I'm very glad you and yours made it through unscathed.
