Darrell, you can't be giving away all my secrets!

Gentlemen, I smile and laugh damn near most of the time. I am a rather jolly fellow, actually. I like the grimace photos just because they are so different from who I really am (and the grimace seems to match my tattoos quite nicely, thank you).

Also, the grimace comes in handy when dealing with folks at the utilities offices. Southerners are not known for their sense of urgency, until they are anxious to get me out of their office...

Cheers!

Nice thread! I've gotten one tattoo so far:

thepipesmokingdrummer I dig that boat tattoo. I remember when I got my tattoo a couple years ago, I planned how I would unveil it to my family. I decided that I would reveal it to them at Easter dinner at my aunt's house. So I stood up during dinner and I said "Everyone, I have an announcement!" My sister looked at me and said "You're gay?" Ahaha. I said no I have a tattoo, and I showed everyone my forearm. I was expecting this outrageous over the top reaction from my father but all he said was "If I had a tattoo I'd get it on my balls."

lol.

JoeQuo, would you care to translate the phrase on your forearm? I like the tattoo, and I have great appreciation for people with tattoos that have a deeper meaning.

Cheers!

Sean68, sure thing! The tattoo is an Italian translation of a bible verse-Romans 14:8, which reads:
"Whether we live or whether we die we belong to the Lord." (Sia che viviamo, sia che moriamo, noi apparteniamo al Signore)

I find that verse particularly meaningful because it states that God always has sovereignty over everyone, in life and in death. The significance of that fact in this context is that it emphasizes how all Christians are subjects to God in a like manner, and are answerable, not to us, but directly to Jesus, and should have the same liberty of conscience that we have. It sort of shames believers who do not grant the same rights to others that they claim for themselves.

In other words, when somebody says "I don't believe Christians should have tattoos (or smoke a pipe or have a beer)" you show them this verse . Smile

Good meaning and good work on the script, whoever did the work on it was darn good at script.
