I recently mentioned this pipe to a brother, and he asked to see some pictures of it. So, there you go, bro. Very Happy It's my old Savinelli Grand Prix. Not sure of the shape number. It's not pretty, but it's a rugged little fellow.
If anyone else wants to show off their leather wrapped pipes, go right ahead. There have been a few threads lately, but not an open gallery as far as I know. I'll get some pics of my Longchamp up here later, if there's an interest.

See, I find that very attractive... Maybe it's just the bulldog leather exotic-ness... The Denim Pipe, not so much, but that's a pretty pipe...

Put a couple holes in it, and fray it out a little bit, sell it as a "Hollister Pipe", soak it in cologne, sell that pipe for hundreds.

Oh, and George,
Thanks for the photos. I'm glad I got to see it! Beautiful. I'm getting my "Man Area" set up in the apartment, so I'll have to show some pictures, and some of my pipes off, so you all can see 'em. I haven't posted many pictures of my pipes, or 'baccas.

Very nice. I'm hoping to go to the home of former MD Governor Marvin Mandel to see his pipe collection. He was rarely photographed without a Longchamp in his hand. I was supposed to go in January, but he became ill and is just now getting well. He's 92, so I better not wait too long. I'll take lots of pictures when I go.

Nice one!
If Steve McQueen had given up cigarettes for a pipe, a Sav Grand Prix like that one looks like it would have been right up his alley.

Great looking pipe, George. And the Zippo is really a beauty. By any chance is it a pipe insert Zippo?

you're quite welcome. You prompted me to photograph a pipe I wouldn't have thought to show off, so thank YOU, bro! Let's see those pics of yours when you're all moved in. There haven't been new pics in the Man Cave thread for a while.
Riff Raff, that sounds interesting. Looking forward to the pictures.
Mike and Buckshot, thanks for noticing the lighter. A good friend gave that to me years ago. Yes, Buchshot, there's a pipe-lighter insert in there right now. I've got half a dozen or so Zippos and two pipe inserts that get rotated around a bit.
Harlock, thank you. Steve McQueen? You really think so? I can see that. I think I'm starting to better appreciate the looks---Hey, Wait a minute! Are you guys just being nice to me because the last pipe I posted was the ugliest pipe in the history of forever! Laughing Dreadgerbil lliked it. I'm gonna go hang out with Dreadgerbil.

(Seriously, guys, thanks for the compliments.)

Thanks, Monbla. The cat pic was for you, BTW. Razz
One thing I forgot to mention: Unlike many bent bulldogs with offset drilling, this one will easily pass a pipe cleaner from bit to bowl. That alone makes it a keeper in my book.

I don't know if all Longchamps have such severe stingers, but it's nice to know I've always got a concealed weapon handy when I'm smoking it! Very Happy

Possible Longchamp bloodletting aside, GK, you know you can probably buff over that insignia on the original pipe if you wanted to get rid of all the vulcanite oxidation. If the white disappears, do what I do with old rifles--use whiteout. Cool

My only 2 leather clads, a Lorenzo "Old Vic" pickaxe, which is super lightweight, with a very generous bowl capacity, and a Chapuis-Comoy "Jeantet" apple. I have dedicated the Old Vic to Latakia blends, and the Jeantet to Christmas Cheer.
