I much prefer to smoke outside for a lot of reasons. Cleanliness, claustrophobia, a view better from my porch, better reading light, instilling fear and quandary in the neighbors... Laughing

You have a better set up than I do. Nice!

My set-up exactly. It actually makes for a bit more intrigue and a few surprises as well. Moments like "Shit I didn't know I had a tin of that!" or "Man, where did this 7th Czech tool come from?" It's kinda like being your own Secret Santa.

My official smoking corner is the great outdoors, which I guess is not quite as nice or as predictable as an easy chair in the living room, but I make do.

LOL I've had a few of those moments.

Oh, I prefer the outdoors for sure, not only for pipe smoking, but being outside in general. It's just nice to come home and have a spot to sit, and smoke, after a long days work. Days off, and mornings, I smoke outdoors.

Conversely, I'd love to have a small spot separate from the rest of my house with my books, a good stereo, wifi, and an awesome chair, a sliding glass door and a porch, so I can store my pipes, smoke indoors or out, and hide out when I need to.

I have to find out how to smoke inside or Yak's gonna give me hell forever. Laughing

Cool

Always thought about trying snuff...never have gotten around to it. Apricot sounds intriguing, to say the least.
I like the corner you've carved out for yourself, and really dig the tin selection you've got...out of curiosity, whatcha got in those mason jars?

Now you've done it, Bowman. Zach's still deep in his "baccy slut" phase. Razz I think he's got a little of everything there. Be prepared for a BIG list!

(Just teasin' ya Zach. That's the only way to learn!)

I really like hitting up b&m because most do free samples. Sit there for a few hours and try lots of blends. Always buy at least one thing to keep up a good relationship.

A good two of 'em. One of those guys turned me onto the dimly lit side of loose leaf chew, so I repaid the favor with a corn cob. I just got home, and I got work early, so I'll get that list of jar tobaccos to ya after work tomorrow, sorry mate.
Call me a slut again George, I dare you. (LOL) Good news is, I give away what I don't like to those two friends. I'm learning what I like, but before I decide, I've decided I'm going to try every single type of tobacco before I do.

I, myself, was on the straight and narrow until pretty recently. I've gone from prim and proper to loading my pipe in any tin, jar, or pouch that'll have me, just to see what's out there.

I just noticed this question, D&B. I hope Zach doesn't mind me answering for him, but I sent him a tap-box of regular Samuel Gawith Apricot to try. I've never tried the Poschl version.

Alrighty Bowman, You asked for it. Tobacco in Jars.
-Altadis Midnight Smoke
-Altadis Nightcap
-Altadis Whiskey Cavendish
-Altadis Kentucky Blizzard
-Altadis Flying Dutchman
-Dunhill Early Morning Pipe match
-Altadis Golden Rum
-Altadis Backwoods
-Altadis Turkish Blend
-Altadis Celtic
-(Laugh if you must) Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey
-(Once again) Captain Black Cherry
-Altadis Scottish Conclave
-Altadis Private Stock Aged Maduro Cavendish
-Altadis Black Cherry
-Altadis Bluegrass
-Dunhill Nightcap
-Altadis Irish Creme
Some are aromatics, some are not. All together Altadis makes a halfway decent tobacco.
(This doesn't include my bags, or tins). I'm working on finding out what I like. You brothers have been helpful by sending me some. George recommended SG Navy Flake, and that's now one of my favorites. Several of you recommended Nightcap, that's one of my favorites. I still want to broaden my horizons, and try everything under the sun, always looking for suggestions, and a new tobacco).

Ahh, thanks George. I had a small black plastic container of the Poschl that a friend brought back from Germany for me a long time ago. He was a snuff fanatic. I really liked the it and thought it had great flavor, but at the same time I didn't and still don't have much experience with snuff. Nonetheless it was a very invigorating product, although I was probably not very good at taking it. All I remember was that Gawith and apricot was printed on the container in that typical hellion/goth font type. Thanks for clarifying.
