"the "house blends" that the b&m makes"

"b&m" (above) = bdsm

In the natural world, there is no such thing as tobacco that doesn't smell and taste like tobacco. There just isn't. Tobacco smells and tastes like tobacco -- not ice cream or cookies.

Similarly, in the natural realm, BDSM lacks an analogue in the behavior of other creatures.

This common denominator aside, in both cases the compulsion to experience un-natural pleasure that motivates people to engage in it is heavily tinged by the pain they accept as the means to arrive at it.

(Given that smoking is the passive, accepting reception of what another is dishing out, smokers are, in the picture, necessarily "subs"/"bottoms").

(There's that word again. Damn !)

Boy I never realized that smoking aros made me a sexual deviant. Guess you got to be into autoerotic asphyxiation if you like chocolate milk being that it doesn't taste like natural milk. Damn it baited and hooked me into replying again. Oh well another one for the rubber room.

You can't say "deviant" without a sound baseline to measure it by.

A lot of baselines are pretty arbitrary.

What.
The.
Hell.

Yesterday this was a nice little thread about a young guy's man-corner in his girlfriend's apartment. Cute doggy pics and whatnot. Kyle and I stayed on topic, for the most part. How did it come to this overnight? You know what? Don't answer that. scratch

Have I been doing anything -- overall -- but touching on things that people basically know on a level of themselves they don't usually consult ?

Does that mean that those of us who smoke both are asexual? Neither giving nor receiving? I like to thought of reproducing via mitosis a la Sheldon Cooper.

Once again - a perfectly innocent thread with nothing but good intentions gets pulled down the drain.

Sad really.

Zach- congrats on your Smoking Corner. Ignore the mindless nonsense, BS, and thread sabotage attempts. That's a nice setup you have going there.

Oh yeah - and smoke whatever tobacco type or blend you like. You're the only one smoking it and as long as you enjoy it, that's all that really matters at the end of the day. It's all about freedom of choice.

+1. Off topic and thread devolution are fun and all, and they definitely have their time and place, - hell, it usually ends up being a lot more entertaining than the actual topic - but to jump right from aros to BDSM? Really?

Anyway, I haven't had many of Altadis' blends...for some reason I'm under the impression that they don't have the best reputation. But I might be making that up. I do remember having their Midnight Smoke once upon a time, and thinking it wasn't bad at all as long as I kept it slow and cool. I almost ordered some Kentucky Blizzard, but never pulled the trigger (it looks so over the top that it's either going to be so novel that it's good, or so over the top that it's really bad)...any thoughts on that one yet?

I've only tried, as far as I know, two Altadis offerings. Gift pouches of
Tobacco Galleria - Rum & Maple and the same branding of Amaretto.

They were heavy on the PG. The Rum and Maple wasn't too bad, if you had a sweet tooth. The Amaretto was horrid. Both ended up in compost. They were not for me.

I have another tinned Altadis offering (a free tin from their Sutliff Private Stock) but I haven't tried it.

I haven't tried their matches. I hear their matches are not great as matches, but decent on their own.

You have a fine collection Zach, and there is nothing wrong with Grabows...heck I pull mine out sometimes and smoke it. Your dog is a cute little guy....for an ankle biter, and if you end up needing a pipe rack that bad I am sure there is a Chinese restaurant nearby that could give you a chunk of change for him so you wouldn't have to worry about the postage to mail him to another brother lol! You are doing just fine and trying different blends is one of the keys to discovering your own tastes in this pass time. Grab one of those tins and start stashing away a little here and there to grab yourself a Tinsky POY when they come out.

Sorry I grabbed the bait and ran with it. Exorbitant statements require equally exorbitant replies, I will play nicely for the rest of the thread. Any who, Kentucky blizzard is fairly decent from what I remember of the time I tried it, not overly sweet at all. It was very interesting. Can't smoke inside right now and humid hot weather takes away my desire to sit outside for long periods of time.

I thought the Rum and Maple was actually pretty nice. Then I discovered Silver Flake, and I realized what I had been missing. Wink
