We like the basic variety.
Admittedly the plush form had many fans, but I was told by a Roto-rooter technician, who came to our house, that the major cause of sewer backup was the plush durable paper that clogs your drain.
After hearing this we decided that a little discomfort was worth the gain in the end.

I buy Seventh Generation 100% recycled tissue. It's not Charmin soft and don't like that. Yet it's not John Wayne either.

More details than this I'm not willing to share......

My favorite is Metamucil. It almost makes TP brand a non-issue.

I use steel wool, cause im just that hard core.

Actually no, we just use whatever is cheapest. I mean after all, your just gonna whipe your arse with it. No sense in flushing any more money than necessary down the toilet, right?

We have decided a little discomfort in the "end" is not worth the gain.

I follow my dog's lead, sit on my butt in the grass, legs spread, and scoot along pulling with my hands. As long as I avoid the fire ant mounds, it seems to work well.

True story abbreviated:

I was out riding a 4-wheeler deep in the woods of Alabama. My stomach started "bubbling". There was no way to make it the 20 minutes out of the forest. I slid the 4-wheeler of the trail when I realized it was almost too late. I barely made it without damaging clothing. After the "explosion" I looked around and there were no leaves. I was in a Pine thicket. Pine needles are a terrible replacement for tissue! Exclamation

"It" happens. One of those things that is much funnier as a memory.
