It was luck and fate that this place took off like it did, followed by a good bit of dedication and effort to ensure that it didn't take a big stinking dump along the way and die an ugly death. Without that combination, well, good luck. That's why we don't like to take credit for this place, it was a gift.

I think we should all join, but with new handles and avatars, then try to spot each other by our posts.

I think I will join with the handle "George Kaplan" Twisted Evil

Kai, that might be doable, but whoever registers with the handle "Kyle Weiss" or "Yak," has certainly got their work cut out for them! geek

It's hard work running one of these things, finding good people to mod, keeping abreast of all the little fires before they become forest fires, etc.. The BoB team do this because we love the site, the hobby, the people.. I wouldn't put up with the crap for money, anyone that would probably deserves it.

And for all that you and the other mods on here do, I, for one, say THANK YOU!!!

I'll second that!

Nah, they'd be an easy emulation, now Puros Bran would be difficult. Constantly being in the Napoleon attitude would be hell. ---and now I am banished lol.

Actually the mods here do a great job on this forum and I appreciate your tireless and thankless efforts. Rob good luck in the new forum, just don't neglect us too much over here on BoB.

Well, PD, everyone here that helps make this place deserves credit. It wasn't just "in the stars," it took good people from the top down to do this, maintain it, attract and keep the right people. Cool

I knew we were overdue for a BoB love-fest thread.

I'll echo sentiments already express by saying, sure, I belong to a few forums, but this place is the only one that feels like home!

Special stuff is special.

Acknowledging that shouldn't occasion embarrassment.

...I'll second what Rob has said regarding the PSC forum...yes, there are plenty of forums out there and while I participate in three myself, it is simply a matter of choice...

Hopefully, anyone and everybody will be welcome at any forum/site...afterall, the majority of pipe smokers I know have always been rather inclusionary, not exclusionary.

I'll second what Peter said in another thread: Everyone here is welcome on PSC, that's for sure.

Of course I've grown used to the regular Abuse I receive here, so it's going to take a while to truly settle in over there. Cool

This.

I can't imagine feeling "guilty" if I wanted to join another forum, or making someone else feel that way if they were spreading out. Pointless, really.

Very nice forum. I would join, but only have time for one. Even here I seldom post, and rarely (if ever) even look at the off topic forums of BOB. Pipe forums stimulate the development of the hobby and I hope that the Pipe Smokers Cubby becomes very active and successful.

Just wanted to update the Cubby's new domain: http://www.pipesmokerscubby.co.uk/cubby.php

Still a neat place, been spending a little time over there. It's very chill and the group over there is swell.

Cool
