PostSubject: Pipe Fail   Sun Aug 19, 2012 1:03 pm

In the last three days, I've noticed an uncommon amount of bugs, flies, gnats and mosquitoes buzzing around my face while piping. I'm still showering daily, too, so I ruled that out already.

The irritating part has been swatting in reaction to my little visitors and ending up with a face/lap/computer full of burning ash, as I almost knock the pipe out of my mouth. Neutral I guess I'm not at one with my pipe lately (darned good smokes, though...)

*sigh*

Cool

Huh, usually the little pests avoid smoke! Are you smoking aros out there? Surprised

It's primarily at my partner's parents' house, they have a whole bunch of neat little porches and a gorgeous yard begging for pipe smoking. With the yard, though, comes the bugs. No, no aros, in fact, Ten Russians seemed to attract a specific kind of moth that apparently wanted to go into my nose while smoking. Not cool, bugs, not cool. Mad

Perhaps. I might have one to bring over. I won't hang it above me, though. The snap-crackle-pop in the bowl and the awful taste might derail a good smoke.

I have the same problem smoking Northwoods here brother. I can't smoke in the heat of the day when the bugs are hiding because it's too hot, but darn if the bugs aren't all over as soon as the sun starts to set.

Was that a television commercial, T? That almost made my stomach turn, close-ups of some sweaty greaseball with his microwave pizza stuffin' face. pale Nice one. I don't gross out easily. Maybe it was the Foley effects they used.

No wonder I don't watch TV. Laughing

Shoot, I just realized I forgot the spare bug zapper. I did indeed find one.

Good thing I'm a Tapatio/Chulula/Louisiana (brand) hot sauce guy... Razz Tobasco never did much for me.

Gak, I just remembered... BRING BUG ZAPPER today. Thanks guys.

I like the Chalula sauce as well. The smokey flavor is quite enjoyable.

And hey, don't knock the "sweaty greaseballs". The relative humidity is quite high here in the south. If we are outside, we will be sweaty.
