| Was looking for some info on an old Ogden tobacco I used to smoke and found this neat photo collection of tins of 'bacs from the late '60s early '70s of which I remember smoking many of them back then. I smoked many of the Ogden tobacco's as well as the Sullivan Powel blends ( Gentlemans Mixture was a SUBLIME 'bac ) and the Players as well. The B&M i went to was a small shop in downtown Dallas and he carried many of these for the English guys who were working in offices there back then. Any of our older brothers smoke any of these : http://flickriver.com/photos/sludgeulper/tags/tin/ |

| I was just ribbing ya. 40 years and all... I had no idea Benson and Hedges made pipe tobacco either. I only know them for cigarettes. |

I'll bet it's not made by Phillip-Morris and is probably an import. There are now several Benson& Hedges firms thru-out the world and most just make cigs these days... |
Oh! I thought you were saying that B&H pipe tobacco was not made anymore. Bought it in London earlier this year, but I don't know who makes it. I may be wrong, but I think it's made in Danmark.
By the way, I still have one tin of that Gold Block stuff. Used to buy it by the ton in duty free shops all over the world, until it disappeared from sight. |
