I tried out a new finishing technique.

I call it two-tone rustication.

Please let me know if you like it.

Thanks,

Todd

Yep, I like it. It's going on the next pipe I get. Very Happy Reminds me of the "copper-banded wonder" I got from you. Begs to be held.

Geez, what a great bent bulldog that finish would make...couple of rings etched on the bowl...maybe leave the top half of the bowl above the rings polished to show off some birdseye...saddle stem...mmmm yes.

Cool

Todd - I have to say that the 2-tone Rustication works!

That is a very nice finish. One of these days I'll have you make one for me with that finish. I love the contrast between the pipe and the flakes, that's too cool.

cheers

I absolutely love it!! Great work Todd. Almost looks like flecks of gold leaf inserted into the rustication.

That's beautiful.

It seems to make the surface even more three-dimensional.

I really like the finish on this pipe. The two tones gives it a debth of character that I think most rusticated pipes are missing. It is warm an inviting and is begging me to hold it Very Happy

Nice Todd. I like the finish a lot. I'd love to see a close-up to really get a good idea of what I'm looking at. It's a very attractive finish. Nice work.

Brian.

I'll try to get a better close-up picture, but I'm a pretty lousy photographer.

I use the vast power of the Internets. Usually search:

(insert present tense verb/noun here) + smiley

and then choose "Images" in Google.

Hey! That's not a real link!

That easy, eh, Kyle? I think you must have epic searching skills 'cause I've searched for good emoticons before and I've got to say that the ones you pull out take the cake.
