4" snow is going to fall at Snoqualmie pass tonight (3000'). That's about 7 miles as the crow flies from me-

http://www.distance-calculator.co.uk/miles-from-snoqualmie_pass-wa-united_states-to-north_bend-wa-united_states.htm

And as of yesterday, I now have my longjohns on again. Last year I wore them until late June.

Mad

Cheers,

RR

The weather at the marching band competition was very frigid tonight.

It got down into the mid 50's. Now that is a cold that will freeze the bones. I do not know how we will ever survive this arctic blast?! pirat

Now I need to head to Mexico to visit Mister E for the winter.

I hear Maryland gets absolutely frigid. Perhaps you are thinking of the Missouri Compromise?

I feel for ya BD.

I actually have the air conditioning on here. I've been working in Gualalajara this week and I didn't even bring a windbreaker.

Air Conditioner running here as well. A bit further north of MisterE but closer to you than the snow!

January can be cold here in Maryland (single digits) but it only usually lasts a few days. But, every year winter is increasingly longer for me.... 70 degrees and sunny here today, so it's all smiles, might even break out the MGB.

This is Nevada's best time of year (besides Spring)... Pretty much 60F to 70F until roughly Thanksgiving, and the trees turn remarkable colors.

Here's a shot I took at Rye Patch recently:

I had to chuckle at that. Here at 2 pm it's just getting up to the mid 50s. I think I'll go for a swim...

Well, I didn't get any snow at my elevation last night (I'm right about 1000') but about 2000' is where the snow line was this morning. Seems to be mostly gone there now.

Much too early for this nonsense!

Mad

Finally...some cool, cloudy weather here in SoCal. It was 99F a week ago.

I am definitely not a sun worshiper. Around here, that's tantamount to heresy. Rolling Eyes

We took the MGB up into the Tuscarora Mountains of Pennsylvania today. The leaves have pretty much turned and are starting to drop, but it was still a beautiful drive. The sun was out and temps were in the high 50's, so it was a top-down drive, perhaps the last of the season. One picture is dropping down off the mountain on Rt. 30 into Chambersburg, PA.
