Most significant thread in quite some time. Ken did indeed have a lot to share, and did it with an understated style which was his and his alone. Pacem en Puffing indeed.

Ken was one of the most generous and humble men I have ever had the pleasure associating with. When I was new to pipes, I think on the old board, I got him as a secret santa recipient. He must have figured I over did it with the tobacco because he ended up sending me more than I gave him a couple weeks later. We had a few talks about kidney cancer being I had it back in 2007 and did a lot of research during that time. He never let on that he was too worried about it really. Probably just so he wouldn't burden anyone else with the stress of it. Miss you sir.

PT Ken is dearly missed on this side. Generous not only with material things, but generous of spirit. A man who believed it was more important to be kind than right, so long as no one was in harm's way. That is a rare mark for the world as a whole, and rarer still for the internet.

This thread certainly brought a lot of folks out of the wood work Shocked ...and for good reason too! Ken was a dandy in all respects and deserves all the accolades posted.

Jim...sadly missing reading his posts and PMs

Ken was a huge part of the sense of community shared by many of us who migrated here to BoB from the old Knoxville Cigar Co. BB. His weedular generosity is justifiably legendary, but it was his generosity of spirit that set him apart. I can't recall him ever making a sarcastic or unkind remark...even in jest. He was a kind and noble spirit who exemplified the best and most fraternal aspects of our smokiferous community. I miss him. Requiescat in pace, Ken.
