You're not one of those weirdos that showers with a bathing suit on, are you? Or have relations with a hole in the sheet? Laughing

My body won't necessarily survive a shipwreck, but I still call it "my body".

Somebody can steal your jewelry & computer.

But nobody can steal the artistic ability you've nourished into being.

There's a deeper end to it, but I'm passing on that one because it involves postulates that disturb people Laughing

Too true. Also often a good reason to learn to do things instead of buying a machine that can do it for you. Not always wise to outsource ability.

Disturb? Bah. One more for the Rubber Room. Twisted Evil

Oh that...

The pre-modern artist painted for the Heaven and the related institutions.

The avant-gardist painted for "The Future".

Me? I just hope I will never have to lose the terrific question of"What the hell do I paint for?"

Everyone loves answers... but some of us love questions even more. Very Happy

I guess on a more specific note, my personal development is my best achievement. No one can take my experiences, knowledge and self. The body is but a fragile, fascinating vessel.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch... Laughing

My proudest achievement was teaching myself to play the guitar. I didn't have much encouragement, or natural talent, but I've become one of my favorite players, for better or worse. No one will mistake me for Jimi, or Jimmy, but I do love to play. During the hours spent at my day job working for a huge monopoly, I always have riffs playing in my head, and like someone else mentioned, it's something no one can take away from me.
As a kid, my friends and I all had dreams of rock n' roll glory. I did join a band and slogged through several tours of Europe, making it all the way from Finland to Israel, believe it or not! I fell in love a few times, saw some beautiful places, and met some truly great people, but in the end, driving around in a small bus with a bunch of smelly lunatics was not for me. Ultimately, I'm just too much a creature of habit. Laughing
However, my greatest achievement will be raising my son, and guiding him to be an honest, responsible, and creative person.
Guess which one's me... Cool

Oh, and my friends?
Most of them became drug addicts, and a few died.
I'm glad I didn't travel too far down that road...

I married the only girl that I ever dated. We met in the seventh grade and went to the county fair together for our fist date. She is a raving beauty, blonde hair, green cat eyes, think Sophia Loren, long legs, Taboo Perfume, Tangerine Lipstick, fisherwoman, never one curse word. A few years and many dates later, we went to see the James Bond film, "You Only Live Twice". I asked her that night to marry me. The possibility of a negative response made this the hardest thing that I have done. A year later while seniors in high school she said, "I think we would make a great team." She said yes waaahhhooooo!!!! We got married 08 FEB 1969, that was 44 yrs ago. I wish that we had gotten married even earlier. God picked me, out of all the people on earth, to bless with the perfect wife. She gave me three boys and two girls, eight grand children. Three boys and five girls. Our Son-in-law and daughters-in-law are perfect. Everyone is in very good health and working. My darling bride and I retired after 30 years in the US Army Special Forces. The rest of my life, daily, is to make her happy. She raised our children the old fashioned way, the Bible is our owners manual. Sure we have had disagreements but we refused to go to bed angry. I do love my wife.
