I am in the market for a lathe right now, I am excited about that. But for now, using a drill press with a good sliding vise is allowing me to get the mechanics done well. Was hard doing that stem with a dremel though Smile

Looks like a nice piece of work rev, just not "my" shape and a bit short for me. Doesn't change how nice it looks though! Razz

I didn't really expect certain folk to like the shape Smile I am making a cavalier right now, then a volcano, but then I will be making a chubby brandy that may be more to your liking Smile I also just have to finish a few, that you will most likely not like much either, but one of them is a poker that may not be too weird for you Smile I have overtime all weekend, and had the flu for a week, so I missed so much shop time.

In NO WAY was I trying to criticize your work. I'm just a more "classical styled" kinda guy so that's what gets me excited shape wise. Razz

Oh, I totally get that, sorry if I sounded defensive. I know people dig different things and I am cool with that. But when I make a more classical piece... I will expect your praise Smile

Rev, the rusticated portions on that gorgeous pipe of yours...how did you manage that? Dremel with the circular engraving bit and a pyrographer?

Whoa, looks darn good! I'm a bit on the boring-old-classic side with the shapes as well (mainly because I enjoy a light pipe), but I bet anyone who goes for "wilder" shapes will really enjoy this one. Very Happy
