WHAT?!? GE is bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. from China?

Yep...and guess what the quality has gone up, and the price has come down! It's a long article, but once I started reading it, I couldn't stop. This oughta put a grin on your face. This is free enterprise in action, folks:

Notice that no politicians were involved.

I'll keep my fingers crossed. The more people you have earning a living wage, wether from farming or manufacturing, the more people you have to buy what you are producing. It seems to me that too many companies were counting on other companies to pay their workers enough to buy what they themselves were selling. Then these other companies started doing what the first companies were doing and things went down the toilet. Hope you can follow my thoughts (g). If the largest part of the GDP is from consumer spending, then you have to make sure the consumer has enough money to spend!

GE has some weird ties to others that have always raised my eyebrows. I wouldn't be so quick to say politicians weren't involved as much as they weren't mentioned...but that's me being a skeptical weirdo. Laughing

If it's as good and proper as the article sounds, it's either wrong or just short of miraculous! An interesting push in this modern era.

That's simple: Just stop taxing and regulating them to death.

In ye goode olde days, people looked for the Made in USA tag, employers spread the wealth among all levels of employees, and no one would think of building a factory for the commies. Then all this changed. But now, even the ex-commies expect to be paid for their work, transportation costs are further offsetting any advantage in labor costs, and we're waiting for a larger share of the payroll to be shifted to the American men and women who actually put in a solid day's work.
