PostSubject: Dunhill gift from Jimbo   Sat Feb 16, 2013 12:52 pm

Recently Jimbo and I did a tobacco trade, when Jim's package arrived I found a little pipe bag with a very well bubble-wrapped stummel and stem inside, I slowly and carefully unwrapped the stummel and found a very cute looking bowl, I immediately thought to myself how perfect it would be for my first thing in the morning pipe. Onto the stem, once I had unwrapped the stem I went to insert it into the stummel when low and behold a 'White Dot' came into view, it took a few moments for it to really sink in, it was real, I actually had a Dunhill in my hands, a Dunhill 1976 Bruyere 311 to be precise, you can all no doubt imagine my astonishment.

Today I set to on refurbing it, I set about the task with considerably more care and attention than I do on the normal no-name pipes I get to work on, no room for mistakes on this one.

This is how she looked to start with........

This is how she is looking now......

I am absolutely over the moon with this wonderful pipe, a HUGE "thank you so very much" going out to Jim, I absolutely adore it and will take the best of care with it. Smile
