Dude, you have some highly desireable pipes in your collection! How about some additional pics from different angles?

I have no Japanese pipes yet, but I am intrigued. Cool

I have a traditional block meer, a compressed meer, a meer from the Isle of Mann and now this African meer. I have not smoked them all with the same tobak so I can't give you a final conclusion on that so now I will have to do this and get back to you.

Smoked some Mixture Modern in the Tanganyika African Meerschaum and my Puffin Meerschaum which is made from dust, the African smoked more flavorful I will smoke a block meerschaum next go around and report my findings once I complete the test with the Pioneer from the Isle of Mann.

Smoked Mixture Modern in my Turkish Block Meerschaum Calabash, the one in the center! It was far cooler than either the Tanganyika African meer and the Puffin composite meer. The most flavor and kick being the African, a nice mild smoke in the Puffin and a very cool, complex and satisfying smoke in the Calabash which was probably due to the gourd and heft of the block of meerschaum, will try the Pioneer Isle of Mann meer next.

Just finished a bowl of Mixture Modern in the Pioneer Isle of Mann meer, it was similar to the Tanganyika African in taste but not as cool smoking which I attribute to the bamboo shank tempering the flavor a bit. All in all each were satisfying to smoke with some nuances in how they smoked and the flavor of the tobak was delivered. Hope this helped anyone looking for differences in the varietals of meer's available.
