Not going to be down this weekend. We used to make it twice a year, for wife's company party weekends. One is now being done on Lake Tahoe so we go through Reno. The one still close to the Bay is done in Carmel Valley so all we do is hop into San Jose to pick up some wheels and then we buzz down 101 as fast as we can to avoid the Friday pm crush...then back late Sunday. She's 'management so I get to relax and play trophy husband. These things are way beyond 1st class...into the uberPOSH zone. Thank goodness it's a laid back bunch...that likes to live well...well beyond MY means. Good thing it's totally covered.

Anyway, my war stories are all set in SE Asia. The ones I remember anyway. lol

And briefly back from the shadows...

Blackhorse, thank you for creating this squadron and managing it so adroitly over the last year. Build that bomber. Now back under my rock.

I hear it's pretty cold under that rock right now. Snowflakes on top of it at the moment - and here it's 85 F. Pretty weird.

Hi folks,

We're getting coordinated. Watch this space for more details as they become available. We may even start a new thread as this one seems to have done the job it was intended to do.

All that to say, I do a fair job of coordinating if the other two want to do a fair job of rallying and theme setting.

As for BH:

Gravel is a great fit, and I would also throw in my name to support a co-command (if there still needs to be help).

And I am in for May.

Alright, gentlemen, things are coming together here in the new 3-way HQ. I'd like to thank you all for bearing with us as the new command gets up and running. Lots of important things have been going on here. First we re-arranged the office furniture and built a new podium for the briefing room that would fit all three of us. Then we sanded the off the graffiti carved onto the outgoing chief's desk. (Blackhorse sure knows how to draw a penis; I'll give him that.) Things were going well until Ocelot found several bottles of hootch and a stash of old love letters forgotten in an old file cabinet, and that pretty much blew the weekend for us. Target data? Damn! I knew we forgot something! Mad
I kid, I kid! Orders will be forthcoming soon. It's been a slightly bumpy start, but we know the main objective here is to drop some bombs on some unsuspecting saps. We have not, and will not lose sight of that. The May bombing mission is a GO. All pilots stand by for further instructions.

On the Flight Line:
1. Scottie
2. Ocelot
3. Keenum
4. Kaplan
5. Grossbart
6. Gravel
7. Bowman
8. Fatman
9. Leftover
10. Blackhorse
11. Roogles
12. Big Casino
13. Hawker
14. Awoodby
15. Somedumbjerk
16. Taharris
17. Zigilbert
18. Kaiser
19. Fishfuzz
20. DrumsAndBeer
21. Dave in Philly
22. Blr1911
23. Soylentgreen

Not a bad showing at all! cheers
Lesath, was that a Yea or a Nay? Your transmission was garbled from under your rock.
Also, let's all give a warm Squadron welcome to our new pilots: Fatman, Hawker, and (possibly) blr1911. Mr.1911 sir, I know you chimed in on the last mission, but I wasn't sure if you officially signed on or not. I don't see your info on the master list of pilots handed down from Col. Blackhorse. To be fair, he had folded most of the official documents into some sort of obscene origami in his last few weeks in the office, so yours may have gotten "lost". Hawker, I've got your info. Fatman, if you haven't already, please PM your real name and mailing address to either Gravel, Ocelot, or myself. By next month we should have figured out which PMs will regularly go to which officer, and update the mission statement accordingly.

Ok, that about covers what I've got for now. Did I leave anyone off the list?

New podium eh...and here I thought you'd be spending all your time reconfiguring the cubicle partitions and rewriting the office protocol guidelines for what level of seniority had to be achieved in order to gain authorization to be allowed a houseplant on one's desk. Why, I remember the staff going round and round about that at every opportunity. There was this one...huh? What do you Hmean, get on with it? I was just st...yes, I know you have important business to conduct here...I was merely reflecting on an important, if not critical issue to the clerical staff that...what? Yes, of course there's a point here somewhere! Look in a mirror and you'll see it directly above what passes for your forehead! Young whipersnapper! Need to have some respect for your elders...paved the way for your easy life with our blood, sweat and... OH...and while we're at it, those carvings were supposed to be instructional! Rob could never remember the difference between the Hundred Pound Blockbuster, the Slim Jim Daisy Cutter and those Series Two Bouncing Bettys...so I drew 'em out right there on the podium and had him trace the things with his picket knife...100 times. He finally got it down. I can' t imagine how you could think they resembled a 'penis'. I mean, being so small and oddly shaped and all. Hmmm. Perhaps there's more to those funny rumors about you folk and that incident with the sheep than I thought. I mean... "Bah, Ram, Ewe"! Oh my! That's rich. Better keep the hooch close by...you'll need it! Egad, I mean REALLY. How did they ever get the poor things into those kimonos in the first place?

Yeah...me too. The two hours it takes to get a package together and mail it is far more than the pressing demands of my busy life can handle. I mean, that's 1/360th of the month...um, let's see...uhh, carry the 9, add Avagadro's constant to Pi and divide by the Square root of 30...yup, it's 0.27% of a month. Yeah...far too much time to dedicate to something I really believe in. Oh wait! Tell you what...I'll skip watching Dancing With The Stars (thank you, Lord) during bomb week and then I'll have plenty of time.

(I erased the next paragraph because it was too negative and if I published it, everyone would hate me.)

Not so much getting the package together, but manufacturing the contents. Generic bombs are simply not acceptable for our membership.
