Well, they didn't predict all this "global warming," now did they? Take that, 200 year old farming periodical! cheers

I'll go out and burn a few large mounds of tires with used motor oil today to see if I can help offset some of this stupid snow that's supposed to happen. Plus, it'll be fun.

Cool

I should be safe, but I'm going to PM the snow-thrower anyway!

The Old Farmerís Almanac predicts a cold winter for every region but the lower Great Lakes, upper Midwest and the northern states of the Northeast.

I'd guess the Farmers Almanac has about the same chance at accurate weather prediction than the TV weather folks. Which is to say less than 50%....

Wink

Does anyone actually read the Farmers Almanac anymore? Seems so folksy to me. Hard to believe it's still in publication.

Disclaimer: I've never actually bought a copy. Just know a very small amount of what they have to say through skimming and from secondary sources. Always seemed like the old snake oil salesmen to me.

Cheers,

RR

Awesome! That means we might get as low as 60 degrees! I grew up in Michigan, Ohio and Colorado. No such thing as cold here in AL as far as I'm concerned.

Thank goodness someone said it. cheers Cable news is reality TV for adults, though. You know how it is, can't even buy salad dressing without conjuring up some vein-in-the-forehead-pulsing conversation about politics these days. Laughing It'd be funny if it weren't so damned sad.
