Falcon Restored Empty
PostSubject: Falcon Restored   Falcon Restored EmptyThu Oct 24, 2013 6:37 am

Last month, I found this beat up Falcon at a Virginia junk shop. I restored it last weekend and detailed the work on the Reborn Pipes blog. I used a two stage stain process to hide the fills and think it came out rather nice.  It now resides in member Blackhorse' metal collection.

Nice job Al. Pretty hard to cover up fills, I can think of some pipes that need your attention to detail from the early days of pipe making.
cheers
