Yup. It's a very fun, but increasingly expensive hobby. I wasn't very good at it, so I switched to making pipes. I still have tons of leather working stuff though.

The wife and I dabble in it, on the weekends, late at night, when the kids are gone.afro

I'm needing about a 6-6.5 x 8 inch square... 3-4 oz or there abouts. Where can I find it?? All I'm finding is entire sides or scrap.

For something like that you should be able to pick it up at Tandy's or stop in at any shoe repair or saddle making shop and I'm sure they could help you out.

PB ---

I'll send you a couple square feet of some dark brown, 5-6oz latigo if that'll work for your project.

PM me an address if you want it.

Beyond good to see you brother.
I deeply appreciate the offer...
I was going to try to make a Midori style notebook. After I researched a little bit my total to make one was approaching the cost of three of them due to the start up cost of Tools, dyes, waxes, etc... I said piss on it and just ordered the real deal.
