On Nov 26, I turn the big Five-Oh.  I feel young, healthy and strong. In just this year alone, I've lost several friends my age or younger so I am glad to be alive.  Last year on my B-Day, I did what I always do on my birthday.  I did a 49-49, which is 49 exercises 49 times. I need to think of one more for this year for a 50-50.
* Push Ups, sit-up, curls, squats, dips, 49 min hard cardio on level 4 (easy), 49 Pull ups (not all at once but in blocks of 10), bench, etc.

Here's me an my daughter (No Raiders jokes, I know they suck).

you're a young looking 50, zo ... most would be surprised to learn you were that young woman's father ... do you even have a gray hair ?

I had discernible gray by the time I turned 30 and at 50 I had about a 50/50 mix ...

She turns 24 next Feb. Other daughter is 21 at ASU.  I just started getting a few gray hairs in that past few months.  I am early compared to my dad who didn't get a single gray hair until 55.

You seem to be doing well for 50, before I read your post I thought for sure that was your girlfriend.
< And I thought I looked good for 59......well, now that the beards gone.
Gotta get a new avatar, that old guy is starting to get to me.

The big 50. Congratulations. I never thought I'd make it past 35 but it kind of sneaks up on you doesn't it.

Agree Mark 100%. I can't believe I'm there. Time doesnt respect anyone. It moves on whether you're ready for it or not.

I'll be 59 in January. I've already selected my long-term care facility, and thus when early Alzheimer's hits my family can use the already well-oiled chute to slide me there. Also, I've already selected and paid for cremation and have arranged for my ashes to be scattered on Lake Titicaca. . .There's no sense in avoiding these matters. Oh, and my advance directives list a "kill" option to be used a) when I ask for it b) when the crow sits outside on the window ledge and c) at a time of my family's choosing, which, when executed will rain down the millions tied up in my estate.queen cherry queen

Congrats on the big Five O.
Like others have said, there's something out there keeping you looking young for your age.
Thanks for sharing the great photo of yourself and your sweet daughter.

Happy Bday Z. I just turned 51 this past summer. I thought I was a young looking 50 year old and now you had to go and spoil that for me. You don't look a day over 49 (just teasing!)

Razz  Thanks - I'm actually pretty excited about my day.  Going to do all the things I like doing.  Going to start off with a super hard 50-50 workout (50 exercises w 50 reps a piece with 50 lbs), going to play my guitar, shoot some guns, go to a Kart Racing track, dinner with my awesome smoking hot Peruvian wife. ha ha (That's the way I introduce her to everyone) I love you
