Hi. I've been working on this here and there for awhile. I'll pick it up and work on it awhile. Then put it down to do some other project. I decided I wanted it to be finished before Christmas. So here it is. Sorry I couldn't get my lighting right for the pictures. Thanks fer looking.

Good straightforward no-nonsense Poker, millerman. I like it, but there again I like Pokers!

Years ago I attended a UK folk music festival, and some acoustic band had a guy who kind of resembled Popeye playing a Concertina. I clearly remember him clenching a Poker in his jaw, and he puffed more enthusiastically when he played some upbeat section!

From that point on I've always appreciated Pokers. It's like the pipe of the everyday man. Honest and hardworking.

Cheers,

RR

For me the diameter of the bowl is too big, but that's my preference and has no reasoning behind it. Also, to me, some pokers don't have what I want as they are basically a cylinder, from which the shank diverts at 90 degrees. Such a boring shape. But you 1) slanted the bottom of the bowl and 2) angled the shank upward. Great job!

Totally gorgeous, the Poker my absolute favourite pipe shape, yours is really a Cherrywood with the canted base and tilted shank but it is a lovely pipe. For the wider bowls I personally prefer a thicker shank and stem but that is just personal preference, got yourself a beauty there, your should be very proud of it, I know I would be.  cheers cheers cheers

You clearly let the wood speak to you on this one. I love how you kept it natural. The grain really pops; love the cherrywood shape.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
