Well, I was going through my briar and I had a largish ebauchon that I was looking to use, it was pretty thick but had a couple large bark areas on the 1 edge so I trimmed this off and saw grain underneath. So I turned the block flat and used that grain instead of leaving it the way the ebauchon cut, utilized the thickness of the briar. Left it a natural and this is what I ended up with. Thanks for looking.
