It actually looks like toothmarks more than over-polishing, but it could perhaps be a bit of both. I just like the shape more than anything really.

It actually looks like toothmarks more than over-polishing, but it could perhaps be a bit of both. I just like the shape more than anything really.

I do too, but the edges of the bit (where it joins the shank) are rounded off. I hate that, and kills the deal for me.

[Later:] The pic above does make it look worse than it is, I have discovered. But the seller's name, vaffanculo1, doesn't inspire confidence. Laughing

I would love either one of these two Werner Mummert pipes. They are made from beams from a 16th century church.How cool is that??? Well it's pretty cool for a guy who collects very old Bibles. But they are way, way, way out of my price range. Sad
