Quite a haul there. I see that someone even has made a custom card with their avatar on it. Nice touch!

As long as we're pickin' favorites...I'm liking the sticks of Dy-no-mite withe the clock timer.  Love the coiled wire connection...sweet!

Nice devastation. I have a feeling that a secondary wave is not out of the question. The sticks of rubble he has still standing should fall soon. MUahahahahahaha!

Beautiful disaster. Our bombs have shaken his structures down and a few incendiaries should be coming to ignite the rubble into a hellish firestorm. Good job all and many painful congratulations to our victim.

How many of the bombing missions are unaccounted for?

Might want to start working on structural repairs to the bunker...

Kaitlyn - since the target has to be given a mission target if a bomb hits right on the mission date it's likely from him. Kinda sad in a way...the last token from the ground zero bunker just before being engulfed kinda thing.  Sad

This made me laugh out loud at work! It is sad but the way you put it made me giggle Smile

Yeah. Being 'twisted' in a good way is almost a universal pilot characteristic.

If experience is any indicator, the Dr. T bomb will be a large one - likely to bring "shock and awe" even to a weary target who thinks he has seen it all.

Nah, but every item was chosen by our expert researchers and then hand packed for a maximum kill zone affraid

Seems kind of unsportsmanlike. Poor guy's crawling out of the rubble that was once his base of operations only to have two more guided missiles land in his lap! Razz

OH THE HUMANITY!!
A second strike force came to finish what the main attack nearly completed in one fail swoop! affraid

Two of the bombs were inconspicuously disguised as simple, non-threatening packages. At first, I thought our aid had arrived, but was sadly mistaken. When opened, a message of "Mwahahahahaha" unleashed the hell from within!

The second onslaught:

McClelland WildernessButera Dark Stoved
Samuel Gawith St. James Flake
Mac Baren HH Latakia Flake
Mac Baren HH Bold Kentucky
Condor Long Cut
John Sinclair Highland Sliced
Mac Baren Modern Virginia
Gawith & Hoggarth Dark Flake
McClelland 2035
Pipe Cleaners
Shank Brushes
8deco Bamboo Tamper
Dutch Gouda Clay Pipe from Penn Valley Pipes

Chaps, that looks to be a successful sortie and by no means a milk run. Particularly liked the insertion of a second wave that was delivered before Nismo had a chance to regroup. Absolutely splendid on all counts! I've been chuckling to myself constantly whilst reading this thread. For reasons concerning customs I'm not part of the BoB bombers, but it's a damn good read all the same.

Well done chaps. I believe there's drinks in the Mess and the Old Man's put 10 bob behind the bar...

Pip pip!

What follows isn't designed to take away from the excellent raid this month. It rambles a bit, so bear with me.

To my fellow pilots old, new, and retired -

Years ago I had the opportunity to jump into being a bomber, (mission 3 or 4 I think) like many of you. It was thrilling as we all waited anxiously for a target to be announced, bombings to commence, and the wait for detonation. Detonation Fridays were one big refresh fest.

Highlights for me include the secret BH raid and my last raid as a co-commander: Operation Ketchup.

About the BH raid...
That year many of us reprobates individually decided BH needed to get hit. For those of you who are new the details in all their glory are here: http://www.brothersofbriar.com/t20548-let-s-bomb-blackhorse-secret-squadron-attack-of-doom-group. It's an excellent bit of history.

After BH retired, I had the opportunity to co-command this group with Jesse Jones, an honor that was all mine.

Well, life got busy. My kids got busy. Work went nuts.  My wife's work went nuts. I had to bow out of command after a year. At the minimum I  could still participate in most missions. This was good. It was difficult to sit out.

Of note: drumsandbeer does a better job at comand than I did. All I did was warm the seat as it were (sorry about the smell).

All that to say, I'll be adding to all of that crazy with seminary and a newish job. April's mission will be my last for a long time. You are a fun bunch of people and I am glad to have created some cheerful mayhem and memories with you.

I'll miss this. I truly will.
