Paid in Bourbon Empty
PostSubject: Paid in Bourbon   Paid in Bourbon EmptyMon Mar 09, 2015 9:11 pm

I recently did some IT work for someone dear to me. I told them that my services were "gratis." Of course, being who this person is, my offer was refused and this bottle was rendered as payment. He simply told me, "You said no money, but you didn't say no booze." Needless to say, I can't wait to uncork this sucker.

You're gonna like it. I have a bottle here and it's the most different tasting bourbon I've ever drank. It took me a few glasses to acquire the taste but once you do you will appreciate it. High octane.

Okay, first taste here and this stuff is special. Very nice balance admist the expected spicy burn. Rich smoky charred barrel flavor and sweetness with a LONG finish. Excellent full bodied bourbon flavor. Superb stuff & despite the proof, very drinkible neat, (which is how I prefer my whiskey)

Try a half dram with a wee dribble of good water.

You may be surprised. Very Happy

I used to be a no water guy, but I am slowly coming around - especially at higher/cask strengths.

Good to know.

A bit in the way of smoke and mirrors surrounding American whiskey distilling now a days.

No kidding.

Who knew a factory in Indiana made most of the country's boutique brown booze.

Laughing
