Fill her up, just be careful when you get down to the last third of the bowl. Those old wives tales about how to properly build cake are just time consuming and unnecessary IMO. I try to keep mine to a minimum, especially in briar pipes.

Thanks for the advice... I'll take it. One because I didnt pay much for the pipe, and two because I am very careful to smoke it gently.
