9th pipe a Cavalier Empty
PostSubject: 9th pipe a Cavalier   9th pipe a Cavalier EmptyWed Jul 08, 2015 6:49 pm

Had my share of troubles with this pipe to say the least and avoided working on it from time to time but, finally convinced myself that if ya don't get it done ya can't start another. It's Algerian Briar with hand cut Ebonite stem and plug with Ebonite back bone and light amber acrylic shank accents. So without further ado, here it is for your perusal. Wink

Ron, that there is a winner beyond all compare! Really brother, you outdid yourself on that one - and I'm not even a Cavalier kind of guy.

The lines flow well, love the grain, the light amber acrylic shank accents are a beguiling contrast, and that ebonite back bone is unique and cool as all get out! Looks like a fine stem job as well.

Tell ya what, you gotta get a cool makers stamp now. I'd seriously consider buying that one - it's that good!

cheers

Cheers,

RR

Thanks guys! 9th pipe a Cavalier Liftha32

And Adam, I already have a "REJECT" stamp............it's a 5 pound sledge hammer.
The only problem with it is after I stamp them it changes the looks of the pipe a little. 9th pipe a Cavalier Cheesy35

I appreciate all your guys'es compliments but, ya don't have to give me so much praise
for a pipe that clearly has it's fair share of problems at a glance. I really wish the pipes
I've made were as good as you all say but, reality is there just a new carvers work that
doesn't hold a candle to a real pipe carver. My opinion is that most are okay and some
are pretty good, otherwise I wouldn't post them. Wink
