This is my first time trying my hand at carving, so please be kind I know it is not a masterpiece but I like it, I had a little antler left over and wanted to make me a tamper so I figured I would try making a hound, thank you for looking.

Damn, that turned out rather nice Richard. Is that of your pooch? Looks pretty good to me.

Tell ya what, that might look great on top of a gnarly walking stick.

Cheers,

Thank you for the kind words. when I was a boy we had a few hounds but not in a very long time. This is very small I made a tamper out of it.

Carving looks very nice from what I can see, as the picture is not so great. But it looks sweet. Smile

That has a very strange appeal to me for some reason. I'm getting weird vibes from it, something akin to voodoo. Yes, I'm stone sober. At the moment.

No need to be kind Richard, that handiwork speaks for itself. That's v impressive for a first attempt. Not sure how you'd improve on that!?!?
