Despite the initial appearance, I couldn't resist this Shape 269 Prehistoric Bulldog. It came out quite nice. I had bought it with the intention of flipping it, but for now, it must stay (OK,I'm a sucker for a GBD bulldog).

Full restoration details are here:

Wow, what a reaming that one needed! Glad to see it looking so much better and quite happy to hear it'll be staying with you for the time being.

Speaking of the reaming, it appears that my brand new Pipenet reamer set did not like the colder temps we've been having in Maryland. One of the four bits shattered. I like the blades on the Pipenet vs the Castleford but I hadn't considered that the plastic would be so brittle. The Castleford bits are made of a more rubber-like plastic and I've never had an issue with them. Fortunately, that smaller bit was one I used the least often and the Castleford bit fits into the Pipenet handle.

Sorry to see your handle broke on your reamer Al. I have been wanting a set of those for awhile now, but had never considered their durability.

At any rate, that is another fine restoration you managed to pull off. I love those old well caked bowls, that when you get down to bare wood, are still pristine. cheers cheers cheers

I move my set inside the house. The Castleford blades aren't of the same quality, but the rubber material is a little softer. The Castleford set has been in the garage for 5 years, the Pipenet set since Christmas.
