Very cool stuff indeed! We were geeking out about it at work all day. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this takes LIGO in the future. I have a very strong feeling that had we not heard this signal the NSF would have pulled the plug on LIGO in another year or so. That signal got to us just in the nick of time!
