Been working quite a few long hours on this one. Maple trim ring on the stem, delrin tenon, trim rings around the shank and rim. Curly maple, with acrylic. Lots of time handworking this. I like how it is has come together, hope you all enjoy it too! All the best. Very Happy

I've never smoked a pipe made from Maple but if it smokes as good as it looks you have a winner. I really go for things that have a Folk Art appearance and your pipe fits that description quite well. Smile

Thanks AJ! Maple has been used for pipe making for quite a long time, and I think is making somewhat of a comeback in alternative woods. I have seen some recent makers of interest advertising maple pipes in the standard commercial outlets. Putting those burned in trim rings on it had a wonderful smell to it, I would say any flavor it would impart to the smoking experience would be favorable. Walls are a good half inch. thick around the bowl.

Thank you sir! To me this pipe appeals to a certain type of man. The kind of man who appreciates a well shaped top that stays up without artificial support, nice curves and a heavy bottom. I am just that kind of man, glad to see there are a few here like that as well. lol. Wink

Nice work, that's a good looking pipe!
I really like the way the maple MM hardwood pipes smoke, during the breaking in period they add a pinch of sweetness to the smoke.
I just got a Don Warren Maple Dublin in My IPSD PAD & TAD order from P&C.

Thank you!! DW was one of the makers I was thinking of when I mentioned maple making a comeback into the pipe market. I look forward to your take on how that dublin smokes.

Yes, great looking pipe Gonzo.

I really like the details and the shape of the stem. It looks like it'll feel great in the hand too.

Nicely done mate.

Are we still talking about pipes? Laughing

Seems like the perfect pipe to smoke, while grilling a couple backstraps on a cool evening!
