I enjoy the Frog Mortons from time to time, mostly when I am in the mood for something sweet & mellow. The three that I have tried (the original, Across the Pond, & On the Town) are all what I would categorize as mild to medium latakia mixtures, slightly sweetened, and at their best when smoked very slow.

They are not flavor strength power houses, but they are well balanced, lightly nuanced and mild enough to smoke whenever. They are somewhat unique in the world of latakia blends in that they provide a good gateway to English style mixtures for pipers coming from aromatics. They also serve as a sweeter option for pipers who are looking to take a break from less sugary blends.

Anyway, that's my two cents.. Be sure to let us know what you think..

I agree with D&B's excellent description above, and that's why I prefer them to the stronger, fuller "English" blends for general smoking. I would rather never smoke Penzance again, than never smoke Frogmorton again.
