Just picked up a 250 gm. box of Gawith St. James Flake off the P&C special.   Do I need to jar the tobacco or can it be left in the box to age?
Thanks!

Jar it. Those bags aren't suitable for ageing as they can leak air.

Cheers,

RR

I recently bought two 250g boxes of St. James flake... Jarred everything in several jars and keep one jar to tap into. Def jar everything and you'll be good to go

I recently opened a box of BBF that had been sitting for over a year. Aside from being a little drier it was fine. Luckily SG tobacco is packed extremely moist so it won't dry out. I'd say get it in a jar if you can. It'll stay longer that way.
