Just learned of this through our major food supplier. Anyone familiar with it?

http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pepperpalace.com%2F&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNHGPX_gJNPlyzEo0bzB3EaVIMzphQ

Looks like something I'd be interested in after retirement. Call it a second career or whatever. Always been a devote of all things hot.

Wonder if they do franchises?

Cheers,

Sounds like a place I'd love! I've always been a bit of a chilehead myself. I visited a place similar to this a few years back on the boardwalk in New Jersey. They had a great selection of sauces and would let you taste pretty much anything in the shop .....signed waver was required for that lol. As I recall I was rushed out of there pdq by the family as I would have spent hours there.

Their NC BBQ Sauce is quite good!!! However, I get mine locally. Plus my fav hot sauce is still good ol' "Texas Pete!!" Which, of course, isn't made in Texas but in Winston-Salem, NC!!cheers FTRPLT

They have multiple outlets, but sadly not many on the left coast. A couple in Cali, and my rep visited the one in SF in the Fisherman's Wharf district. Nearest one to me is in BC near Vancouver. That's about a 4-5 hr drive for me. Too long for a casual visit unless I plan other activities up there.

Told this info to my brewer and he seems keen check it out though.

Cheers,

RR

I like a bit of heat. Not crazy about simply abusing myself. Hot sauce has a purpose and that is to add the right flavor where needed.

Fried fish needs a generic hot sauce. Like Frank's, or Louisiana. It's the vinegar taste that just works.

I like two decent hot sauce products that I mostly use on eggs. Boulder Hot Sauce Smokey Serrano and The Pepper Plant California Style. The Pepper Plant's offering comes in a 10oz size for same money as the 5oz of Boulder's and has a southwestern style taste. Boulder's has a real nice smokey aspect with a bit more heat. I have not tried any of the other offerings by either company. I usually order a case of 12 bottles.

Occasionally I like a Sriracha. Huy Fong is the best. I have a bottle of Tabasco's version. But it's a bit too sweet.

Hey BD

Thats probably closer to you than you think. Its in Tswwassen not Vancouver. Tswwassen is about 90 mins south of Van...right on the US border.

Not sure why they list it as Vancouver. Thats like calling Bellingham Seattle Shocked

Ya, my brewer figured that out. I've been through there as it's the northern ferry terminal for the Vancouver Island ferry. Probably a lot easier to get to than driving into downtown Vancouver. It's still about 5 hrs from me though.

I'll have to check these two out Carlos. They both sound right my wheelhouse. If my brewer visits I'll ask him to bring them back for me. Thanks for the skinny.

I forgot to mention. Be sure to check the bottle label as some products need to be refrigerated.
