Sat outside enjoying an aro from an unlabeled baggie (unlike me not to label, but think it's trout stream) in an unmodified diplomat cob which was a gift from Rande, accompanied by a crisp white wine.  Full of contemplation, meditative, clear skies, warm,  not the slightest zephyr of a breeze. Bliss.

Sounds jolly nice mate. My tipple would be a proper pint of cask ale though. Still, always grand to seize the moment.

Cool

Cheers,

RR

Ain't pipes smokin great?

Glad you've found your nirvana, temporarily at least. Smile

I'm sittin up in the mancave, windows open, cool comfortable 75 degree breeze, a few Bent Bulldogs lined up on the desk, enjoyin this evenings tobacco medley and sippin Glenrothes neat.

It doesn't suck.

Nice!
Funny to think there are tons of people who twist themselves into yogic knots, take drugs, pay for years of therapy etc...to find the peaceful state of mind you described.
Its very simple...slow down, smoke a pipe. Peace on Earth.

Yes, it's not hard to achieve a simple state of relaxation is it chaps? Yet I'm a terrible offender, caught up in the 'rat race', stuck on that treadmill thinking about the experiences I really would like to be exposing my family to; the mountains, rivers, the great outdoors, the arts, and other life adventures. Don't get me wrong, in the big scheme of things we're very lucky. And like most I'll always put the family first. So when I get the rare opportunity for a smoke as outlined above, it's a big deal for me hence I sometimes feel compelled to write about it.

Happy smokes fellas. Hope you can find peace too, even if it is only occasionally.
