Swmbo is in Seattle till Tuesday and sent me a text asking if there were any pipe shops she could visit while she's in the area.  Told her that I didn't personally know what was up there, but would reach out to my more knowledgeable brothers for suggestions.  As I understand it she is on the west side of town and relying on others for transportation, but that may or may not be a factor.  I know there are a few brothers in that neck of the woods, so any suggestions would be welcome.   afro

Kirsten had a shop in the "Pike Street Market". I am not sure if it is still there. Their main shop is at 910 Lenora Street, Suite 156
Seattle, WA 98121. (Run by the family I think.)  A short walk from PSM. They have more then Kirsten pipes if you are not interested in one.

Any Seattle Pipe club folks here?

There are a few folks here that can help. There was a place that had Mac Baren's stuff, but mostly cigars. I'm not sure if they are still there.. I'll bet Brewdude and a few others can help you find one though!

Downtown Seattle has pretty much just one place, at the Pike Place Market-

Somewhat hard to find in the higgly-piggly maze that is the Market. Yet it's accessed across the street from the main market on the western side, and down a few corridors on the left. Ask anyone and they will direct you. Very confusing, but all of the shops are squeezed in here in seemingly random fashion!

The shop does indeed have a wide selection, from basket pipes to spendy name brands (no artisans last I visited) and bulk 'baccy to a great selection of tins.

However, be prepared for prices that are 2-3 times what one can get on the net. WA state is one of the frontline dealers in inordinate taxes. Ask me why!

This is not to say you should not patronize this establishment. They are one of the last ones standing in the Socialist state of WA. They deserve your support. I haven't been to the Kirsten dealership.

OR- you could consider the possibility of driving to the TB in Tacoma-

Passed all these suggestions along to SWMBO and she was able to bring me back some bulk blends to try. Now she insist I need to go up there with her next time and see all the things there are to see and sample. Her friend that she went to see is a bit of a foodie, so of course they took photo's of all their orders at the various restaurants and the food did look good but I'm not much for bigger towns, so we'll see. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions.
