What is a flake bowl? At least, in contrast to say, a soup bowl?

I've not heard of one of these either but I'm guessing it's where you'd rub out your flake into before packing?

Over to you Arky...

Reckon it's a bowl for breaking up flake tobacco. I just use a creased sheet of paper. When I'm done I tip the mess back into the original container and toss the paper into a drawer. But I can see how this could be useful for those wanting a bit more substantial gear.

Arky, finish the bowls with food grade Bee's wax and sell the bowls as soup or salad bowls. Good luck

Well, whatever you want to call it arky it still looks like a great bowl for many purposes. I'd maybe go with Ted's suggestion of bee's wax and let folks decide what they want to use it for.

For flakes, I just use a small saucer when I rub them out. Just enough for a fill and might let it dry there a bit too.

Cheers,

RR

I gotcha. I think Smokingpipes sells something like that, but it's more oblong. I guess everybody has a different method.
