Arky, we all go through that stage with any craft. Even when I made custom knives. Even though the customers were always happy I wondered if there was anything I could have done to make it better. Same thing when I made a few pipes and years ago when I did some woodturning. As a craftsman one strives always to do better, even if it's already at its best. One day you'll understand, it takes time and your doing well real fast cheers cheers

Never stop trying to improve. Even if no one else sees the flaw, you will. So, next time you do better.

Think of the feeling when you will finally say "That is good" because it meets your ever increasing standards.

The difference between a craftsman and a piece-worker.

Arky, jumping off center happens to the best of them. Slowly trim out and shape the inside and the bowl will still be useable for nuts, chips pretzels and so on.

arky, the grain on that is impressive. And the uneven sides give it character. You've got something unique going here. Just chase it a bit.

Cheers,

RR

All is not lost. Now sand down all the top edges and you'll come up with a bowl called THE WAVE. The grain on that piece is beautiful. You just made yourself a fancy candy dish.
