You do very nice work. What is the species of wood behind the pipe?

Thanks guys! I’m a little out of practice with my travel schedule it’s hard to get more than a pipe every few months made. Stinger, its a lower grade briar that had a couple inclusions that I didn’t want to sand out. It would have changed the shape too much. So I spot filled with 5 min apoxy a went with it. affraid

Crafty, as always you've done a great job on that pipe. Really dig the shape you got there it has a real flow to it. As to the inclusions I always think they add to a pipe not detract. I'm odd like that but I would rather have an inclusion than just straight grain.

It has a sort of Middle Earth aura to it. Vauen has a line of pipes that this would fit in with I’m thinkin’. And there was an outfit in Canada that made shapes like this centered on a LOTR theme...out of hardwoods.
