Here’s the Poker Sitter Drip Wax 2 tone with Tortoise Shell Stem by Pipemaker Chris Askwith and a lovely Pipe it is. Keeping it smokey with some 7 y/o Esoterica Tilbury whilst wearing my new leather flat cap by Stetson.

Love it. A more literal interpretation of the drip.

Where does Askwith quality fall? Same as Invicta or Blakemar? Above that? From price, I'm assuming quite a bit above those, but I've never owned, or even seen, any of them.

Chris makes beautiful pipes, this is my first briar from him the other 3 I own are Morta and one a fabulous 9 1/2” long Cutty with tortoise shell stem. His pipes run $400 or so unless you get into the fancy ones like the Morta Cutty which takes a huge hunk of Morta then a lot of time invested in making the pipe, I’m still amazed the drilling was spot on and the shank not more than a generous size pencil, the bigger ones you’d give to a child, it was over $900. I smoked this Drip Wax today with one of my favorite tobaccos and it smoked like I’d owned it for awhile. Regards.
